The Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation CESE Metric Library will be the authoritative source of truth for how we measure our most important concepts. By creating a single source of truth, stored in a common area, for our core concepts, we increase the consistency of our calculations and reduce our need to re-prosecute or re-engineer our metrics.

We will work closely with the School’s Excellence team to incorporate the School Excellence Framework into the metric library. This work will support the School Excellence cycle of school planning, reporting, self-assessment, and external validation. A curated set of metrics will provide simpler and more explicit guidance to schools on what data to use throughout the School Excellence cycle. Stronger alignment with School Excellence Framework indicators will ensure that these metrics are directly relevant to leading school improvement.
