Comments
The percentage figures refer to the total number of children and young people on Guardianship orders by Aboriginality as at 30 June as a percentage of the total number of children and young people on Guardianship orders as at 30 June.
Under the Safe Home for Life legislative reforms (implemented 29 October 2014), children and young people transitioned to the independent care of their guardian (Guardianship Orders). These children/young people exited and are not counted in out-of-home care from 2014-15 onwards.
Data for non-Aboriginal children and young people also includes children and young people with status not stated.
Data ageing:
- Data ageing is two months, unless otherwise indicated. Therefore, the data for this indicator will be available two months after the end of the month in which the data first becomes available.
Data changes:
- From 2022-23, the District of Case Management Responsibility has replaced District for disaggregation in OOHC.
