Comments
The percentage figures refer to the total number of children and young people on Guardianship Orders in each FACS district as at 30 June as a percentage of the total number of children and young people on Guardianship Orders as at 30 June.
Under the Safe Home for Life legislative reforms (implemented 29 October 2014), children and young people transitioned to the independent care of their guardian (Guardianship Orders). These children/young people exited and are not counted in out-of-home care from 2014-15 onwards.
Data ageing:
- Data ageing is two months, unless otherwise indicated. Therefore, the data for this indicator will be available two months after the end of the month in which the data first becomes available.
Data changes:
- From 2022-23, the District of Case Management Responsibility replaced District for disaggregating district.

- KiDS – Corporate Information Warehouse (CIW) for annual data up to 2016-17
- ChildStory – Corporate Information Warehouse (CIW) for annual data from 2017-18.
