Permissible Values | Crisis Intervention | The children in the family are at imminent risk of out-of-home care placement. Crisis interventions are usually carried out over 12 weeks.
Placement Support | Placement support is provided to carers where a child or young person is in their care and the placement has become unstable. Placement support is conducted over a 12 week period. The time can be reduced or increased depending on the needs of the child and/or carers.
Restoration | The children or young people in the family are unable to return home at this time without the involvement of the IFBS, and the out-of-home care period has exceeded three months (in cases where 'restoration' is listed as a case plan goal). Restoration work is usually carried out over 16 weeks, to allow suitable lead-in time of four weeks for IFBS Caseworkers to work with the child's immediate family before the child returns to the family home. |
