Definition
This refers to the number of housed applicants, who were previously homeless or at risk of homelessness in a dwelling managed by DCJ, that remain in their housing tenancy after 12 months.
The Annual Statistical Report reports this as the 'Newly housed applicants who were homeless or at risk of homelessness still housed in public housing and Aboriginal Housing Office after 12 months.'

The achievement of sustained housing is an indicator of NSW Governments’ objective to support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to achieve sustainable housing.
A high or increasing proportion of households who were previously homelessness and still housed after 12 months is desirable.
